This plant is called “makahiya”; in Tagalog, ‘hiya’ means shy.
Upon being touched, this plant’s leaves immediately fold up together as if the plant is shy (hence its name).
i never ever not reblog this
if i was a plant, i would be this.
I love these plants, theyre all in my yard.
Actually, that can be explained with ~SCIENCE~
The sketchiness of line art mimics the natural lack of clarity in our peripheral vision. When we look at the real world, our high definition fovea can only focus on a small area at a time. By having a very clean line art, it creates the unnatural feel of high clarity over a large area that’s not possible when we look at real life, therefore line art tends to appear stiff and not as appealing as the sketch. This sketichiness technique was first utilized by impressionists to create an optical illusion of motion (along with other techniques like equiluminance).
Reblogging for an interesting bit of SCIENCE.
Fuck me, I KNEW there was a reason! FUCK YOU, SCIENCE, YOU ASSHOLE
EVERYTHING CAN BE EXPLAINED WITH SCIENCE
SCIENCE! WHAT CAN’T IT DO!
THIS IS WHY I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SKETCHES
I need feminism because (when the time comes/if we ever decide we’d like to get married) I would like to be the one who proposes to him.
I think he would be pleased that I make the first move. Besides, I’m pretty sure I would give him a hell of a proposal.
I’ve always thought this would be really cool. I liked it in How I Met Your Mother when Marshal and Lilly get back together after breaking up Lilly has to propose to Marshal.
